Indian white Prawn curry: Chingriposto!


Ingredients:

  1. Prawn (Baghda Chingri)-500g

  2. Poppy seeds – 50g

  3. Cashew nuts- 50g

  4. Onions-2 ( finely chopped)

  5. Ginger paste- 1 tbsp

  6. Water-4 cups (small cups)

  7. Salt

  8. Sugar -1 tsp

  9. Green chilli- 6-7

  10. Bay leaf- 3

  11. cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp

  12. Tomato ketchup- 2 tsp

  13. coriander leaves (for garnish)

How to Make it:

  • Wash the Prawn and Fry in a pan(1/3 filled with oil) till brown. Take them out in a separate dish .

  • Fry the bay leaf , cumin seeds and green chilli( split in half) in the oil in the pan for a minute.

  • Add the chopped onions and sugar and fry till reddish . Then add the ginger paste and keep frying a few seconds more.

  • Make a runny paste of the poppy seeds and cashew nuts in a blender

  • Add the paste to the fried masala in the pan and keep adding the water slowly.

  • Mix in the Tomato ketchup and pour the mix in a microwave safe glass tray.

  • Add the Prawn in the Mixture and Microwave for 10 mins at full setting. (P100).

Take the finished dish out , garnish as you like and serve Hot!
